Welcome
Matthew comes
from an artistic family but decided to become a shepherd, travelling
widely and working with sheep, dogs, cattle and horses.
Having settled
at Craigieburn Farm in 1988, Matthew's interest in woodwork led him to convert
a stone barn on his farm into a workshop where he makes a variety
of pieces of furniture. Chests and kists are his special interests
as they are one of the earliest forms of furniture and have an ageless
quality.
Matthew works
to commission to create individual pieces to suit your requirements.
There is a wide range of finishes on offer including: wax, lacquer,
varnish, stain, paint and stenciling.
Craigieburn welsh cob stud was established in 1999 with the purchase
of fillys from Tynybryn Stud where Matthew spent his childhood holidays.
