Design

Matthew works to commission and takes pleasure in translating his customers' ideas into pieces of furniture which are beautiful, useful and designed to last. His work is robust, informal and honest - inspired by the craftsment of old. The furniture is constructed to allow for the natural movement of wood, which is a living medium with its own history. Various finishes are applied.

Step 1

Produce a technical drawing of the piece of furniture and give a quote, following a discussion with the customer.

Step 2

Select and mark out seasoned wood for stabilising.

Step 3

Gather together all materials required for the the project.

Step 4

Construction and finishing.

Step 5

Collection and delivery of the finished pieces.
